2. Hosting, Use of WIX, and Processing by Third Parties

Our website is hosted by Wix.com Ltd., 40 Namal Tel Aviv St., Tel Aviv 6350671, Israel ("Wix"). Wix is a tool for creating and hosting websites.

We host the content of our website with Wix. When you visit our website, Wix collects and stores technical usage data (e.g., pages accessed, technical errors), visitor sources, the region of website visitors, and visitor numbers in server log files. Additionally, Wix stores cookies in your browser that are necessary for displaying the website and ensuring its security (technically necessary cookies).

The data collected by Wix may be stored on various servers worldwide. Wix servers are located, among other places, in the USA, the EU (e.g., Ireland), and Israel. For details on Wix’s data protection, please refer to Wix’s Privacy Policy: https://de.wix.com/about/privacy.

According to Wix, data transfers to the USA and other third countries are based on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the EU Commission, as well as additional safeguards under Article 46 GDPR, and—where applicable—the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). For more details, see: https://de.wix.com/about/privacy-dpa-users.

The use of Wix is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the reliable, secure, and professional presentation of our website). If we use Wix services in the future that go beyond technically necessary cookies and require consent (e.g., analytics or marketing tools), processing will be carried out exclusively on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TTDSG. Any consent given can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

Where Wix has a certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, data transfers to the USA are also based on the corresponding adequacy decision of the European Commission. Information on certification can be found in the participant directory at: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov.

We have concluded a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with Wix in accordance with Article 28 GDPR.

3. Types of Data Processed When Visiting the Website

When you visit our website for informational purposes only (i.e., without transmitting any other information to us), our hosting provider automatically collects and stores the following data in log files:

  • IP address of the requesting device

  • Date and time of access

  • Pages/files visited

  • Volume of data transferred

  • Notification of successful retrieval (HTTP status code)

  • Browser type and version

  • Operating system used

  • Referrer URL (previously visited page)

This data is technically necessary to provide the website, ensure its stability and security, and detect or prevent misuse. We do not combine this data with other data sources.

4. Purpose and Legal Basis of Data Processing

The processing of the log data mentioned in Section 3 serves the following purposes:

  • Provision and delivery of the website’s content

  • Ensuring smooth technical operation

  • Guaranteeing IT security (e.g., defense against attacks, troubleshooting)

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and functional provision of our website).

We do not offer contact forms or other online input masks on this website; therefore, no further automated collection of personal data takes place. If you contact us by email or phone, we process the personal data you provide exclusively for the purpose of handling your request. The legal basis for this is:

  • Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation or performance of a contractual relationship), or

  • Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to your request).

5. Recipients of the Data

The primary recipient of personal data collected when visiting this website is our hosting service provider, Wix (see Section 2).

Personal data will only be disclosed to other third parties if this is:

  • Required to fulfill legal obligations,

  • Necessary for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims, or

  • Part of a data processing agreement.

No personal data will be disclosed to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

6. Duration of Data Storage

The data stored by the hosting provider in log files is automatically deleted after short, technically defined periods once it is no longer required for the purposes mentioned.

Data that you provide to us in the course of contacting us by email or phone will be stored for the duration of processing your request and—if statutory retention obligations exist or a contractual relationship is established—for the duration of the respective statutory retention periods.

7. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to:

  • Request information about the personal data we process (Article 15 GDPR)

  • Request the correction of incorrect or incomplete data (Article 16 GDPR)

  • Request the deletion of your personal data (Article 17 GDPR), unless legal retention obligations prevent this

  • Request the restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)

  • Request data portability (Article 20 GDPR), provided the processing is based on consent or a contract and is carried out by automated means

  • Object to the processing of your personal data if it is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (Article 21 GDPR)

To exercise your rights, you can contact us at any time using the contact details provided in Section 1.

8. Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection regulations. The competent authority is usually the supervisory authority of your habitual residence, place of work, or our company’s headquarters.

9. Technical and Organizational Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss, manipulation, destruction, and unauthorized access. For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, our website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the "https://" prefix and the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar.

10. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy to ensure it always complies with current legal requirements or to reflect changes in our services (e.g., the introduction of additional features or services). The current version of this Privacy Policy will apply to your next visit.
